TECHNICAL GUIDELINES FOR REGISTRATION OF TYPES, APPLICATION
OF VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (NIK/VIN)
AND IMPORTATION OF COMPLETELY BUILT-UP (CBU) MOTOR VEHICLES

Attachment

Considering:

a. that as an implementation of Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 275/MPP/Kep/6/1999 on Automotive Industry, Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 276/MPP/Kep/6/1999 on Registration of Types And Variants of Motor Vehicles, Decree of the Minister of Industry No. 84/M/SK/8/1990 on Application of Compulsory Indonesian Industrial Standards to the Motor Vehicle Identification Number (SII 1820 - 88/SNI 09-1411-1989) and Decision of the Director General of Metal, Machine, Electronic and Multifarious Industries No. 007/SK/DJ-ILMEA/VI/99 on Procedures and Requirements For the Registration of Types And Variants of Motor Vehicles, it is considered necessary to issue a Technical Guidelines For Registration of Types, Application of Vehicle Identification Number And Importation of Completely Built-Up (CBU) Motor Vehicles ;
b. that in relation thereto, it is necessary to issue a decision of the Director General of Metal, Machine, Electronic and Multifarious Industries.

In view of:

1. Law No. 5/1984 on Industry;
2. Government Regulation No. 17/1986 on the Authority To Regulate, Foster And Develop Industries;
3. Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia No. 44/1994 on Principles of Organizations of Ministries;
4. Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia No. 355/M/1999 on the Establishment of the United National Cabinet;
5. Presidential Decree No. 61/1998 on the Status, Tasks, Organizational Structures And Working Arrangements of Ministries as already amended several times the latest by Presidential Decree No. 142/1998;
6. Decree of the Minister of Industry No. 84/M/SK/8/1990 dated August 14, 1998, on Application of Compulsory Indonesian Industrial Standards to the Motor Vehicle Identification Number (SII Number 1820-88/SNI number 1411-89-A)
7. Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 30/MPP/SK/2/1996 on the Determination of Kinds of Industries In The Fostering of The Respective Directorates General And The Authority To Grant Industrial Business Licenses And Business Licenses of Industrial Estates within the Ministry of Industry;
8. Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 444/MPP/Kep/9/98 and No. 24/MPP/Kep/1999 on Organization And Working Arrangement of the Minister of Industry and Trade;
9. Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 275/MPP/Kep/6/1999 on the Automotive Industry;
10. Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 276/MPP/Kep/6/1999 on the Registration of Types And Variants of Motor Vehicles;
11. Decision of the Director General of Metal, Machine, Electronic and Multifarious Industries No. 007/SK/DJ-ILMEA/VI/99 on Procedures and Requirements For the Registration of Types And Variants of Motor Vehicles.

DECIDES:

To stipulate :

THE DECISION OF THE DIRECTOR GENERAL OF METAL, MACHINE, ELECTRONIC AND MULTIFARIOUS INDUSTRIES ON TECHNICAL GUIDELINES FOR REGISTRATION OF TYPES, APPLICATION OF VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (NIK/VIN) AND IMPORTATION OF COMPLETELY BUILT-UP (CBU) MOTOR VEHICLES

Article 1

(1) The Registration of Types, Application of Vehicle Identification Number (NIK/VIN) and Importation of Completely Built-Up (CBU) Motor Vehicles shall be conducted in accordance with the Technical Manual For Registration of Types, Application of Vehicle Identification Number and Importation of Completely Built-Up (CBU) Motor Vehicles as specified in the attachment to this Decision.

(2) The Attachment to the Decision as meant in paragraph (1) constitutes integral part of this Decision.

Article 2

This decision shall come into force as from the date of stipulation.
